Chapter 2

Day 7
Through all of the excitement last night, Alec and I got a late start to the day today, but I decided to try and start teaching him his skills right away.  After all, I was going to need to get a start on baby #2 soon!

We started with talking.
"Alec, can you say 'bottle?'"
"Baba!"
"Good!"
He just melts my heart!
He caught on fairly quickly, and eventually, the skill was learned!

We also slowly started potty training.  The sooner this gets done, the better!
It's definitely not a fun job, but has to get done.

I never figured I would have a child at such a young age and at this stage in my life, but I'm having so much fun with Alec.  He looks a little scared here, but he loves when we play "the claw."

Anyway, rumor has it that Ethan Bunch has grown up! We made such a great connection the first time that we met that as the night closes, I call him up to try and rekindle our friendship.

We just chat, but I think this is the beginning of something.  I definitely want him as my second baby daddy.

Day 8

We're going to keep working on Alec's skills today, but, of course, we must treat ourselves to a delicious breakfast first!
Even when he's making a mess, he's still my adorable little man.

I have to do some cleaning on the house before we work on any skills, but Alec keeps busy playing with this doll he likes to call Jelly Bean.  I guess a distant relative sent it?  Given the situation that we're in, this makes me a little wary, but part of me is sure Reg sent it over.

Either way, it's keeping him occupied.

Once again, the day starts to get away from us, but I attempt to get into some walking training.

In the meantime, we did get Alec potty trained!  It's a definite relief for me, but I know I'm going to have to potty train 99 more toddlers, so it's a short relief.

I'm also trying to make some money for my family and have been working on my gardening skills.  There's nothing better than eating food you've grown yourself! (Author's Note - oopsies on the visible grid!)

Day 9
Day 9 does not start out positively for me.  This is about the 5 MILLIONTH toilet I've unclogged (or so it seems.)  I can't wait until I can afford a better one!  At least my handiness skill is steadily improving!

Anyway, Alec had one more skill to learn...

He finally mastered the walking skill today! Yes!  All three skills are complete with a day to spare.

Anyway, after much deliberation, I think I've decided to let Alec age up with the birthday cake one day early.  It will make the process for my next baby a little easier.

Here it goes!  Happy birthday, Alec! Momma loves you!  You'll always be my first, precious baby!

I can't believe he's going to be a big boy!

Say hello to Alec as a child.  He rolled the evil trait in addition to his genius and virtuoso traits.  An evil genius?! Boy... I've already got my hands full.  On that note, we had some cake and hit the hay!

Day 10

This morning Alec headed off to school - he'd be gone until 5 as we immediately went to the school and signed him up for scouting last night.  Because of this, I knew today I would have time to get Ethan Bunch under my spell.

However, without a toddler to take care of, I spent most of my morning cleaning, gardening, and preparing food.  I was in my pajamas until 2PM!  I need to get a move on...

Despite the late start, I called Ethan, and he headed over right away!  Now I need to use my powers of seduction to woo him into being my 2nd baby daddy.

It took a while, but as expected, our great friendship soon turned into more.

We kissed... and there was no turning back.

Things really heated up quickly.  We decided to move things to the, uh... shower.

Conception. Mission: completed.

Day 11

Hmm... well, this pretty much confirms it.

This is one aspect of pregnancy that I'm not a fan of.  I'm hoping this goes away as I gain some more pregnancy experience.

I have to admit - it was really nice to have a man in the house when Ethan stayed the night.  I knew it wouldn't work between us, but I wasn't quite ready to tell him that yet.

I gave him a passionate kiss as I left to teach an art class at the local school to increase my skill.

It was so nice to be out and about in town.  I was getting stir crazy being so busy at home.

After I'm done teaching the class, I'm looking forward to maybe meeting some new people and prospective fathers.

Unfortunately, though, there weren't many (single) men around.  I had to settle with heading home without a prospect for my 3rd baby daddy.

After a long, boring, mostly unsuccessful day (although my art skill moved up to 3!), I settled down to satisfy one of my favorite pregnancy cravings: cake.

It gave me some good time to meditate.  I couldn't help but think about how my life would change with this next baby.  I wanted to be done after this. I never pictured myself with a large family, but I'm not sure I have a choice.

Well... maybe I do.  I really haven't seen anyone following or watching me.  I'll have to test the waters of not fulfilling the challenge once the next baby arrives...

And, just like that, I finish my cake and my bump appears.  I wonder if I'll have multiples this time as I was able to get a fertility treatment before Ethan and I got together.  We'll have to see if it works.

Secretly, I'm hoping for a little girl.  I love Alec, but it would be nice to balance out the house with some girl power.

Day 12

Now that I have a little more free time, I need to keep working on my painting.  I'm still very poor, but I need to provide for this growing family.  In fact, after I paid the bills today, I'm left with $15. FIFTEEN DOLLARS. Yikes.

I invited Ethan over today as well.  I had every intention of telling him things weren't going to work out with us, but I was too lonely to tell him right away.  I just loved having another adult around.  Besides, he was so good to me.

I decided to wait to break up with him until after the baby was born.  I just hoped that he would understand.

As expected, when I broke the news to Ethan about the baby, he was ecstatic!

I knew that, sadly, if circumstances were different, he would be a great father.

With the impending arrival of a new baby, I was trying to spend as much time as possible with Alec.  His time as an only child was ending quickly.  Little did he know that he'd likely have 99 siblings someday.

I still hadn't decided what to tell the kids.  They'd obviously be wondering why they had such a large family, but I figured maybe once they became teens or adults they could be let in on my secret.  I didn't, however, want to scare them with Reg's story, so maybe I could leave some of that out...

For now, it's time to get some rest before my life gets crazier.

Day 13

Umm, good morning.  I've made some, um, really delicious grilled cheese for you all!

...Obviously I'm still working on the cooking skills.

This was such a sweet mother/son moment.  Alec may have some evil tendencies, but he's still my little boy.  He's always going to be special to me... my little baby #1.

Yay! This is much needed.  A $50 painting.  That might not seem like a lot of money, but when you're struggling like us it is.

As soon as I sold the painting, BOOM: contractions.  I wanted to have a home birth this time around, so thank goodness Alec had just gone to bed.

Unfortunately, some of my labor photos got lost in the shuffle, so I have toddler pics, but no baby pics.  Here goes...

Say hello to Archie Langdon.  Archie means geniune and bold.  I can only hope he lives up to his namesake.

Archie rolled the traits excitable and light sleeper.  His favorite music is pop, favorite food is hot dogs, and favorite color is grey.  He's a Pisces who has his mom's hair and dad's skin.

AND....

Meet Archie's twin, Abner Langdon.  Abner apparently means, "my father is light."  It is found in the Bible.

Abner rolled the traits couch potato and virtuoso.  His favorite music is songwriter, his favorite food is a tofu dog, and his favorite color is violet.  He's a Sagittarius with his mom's hair and skin.

Also, did you notice that both Abner and Archie are vampire babies?  That's right - Ethan is now a vampire!  He must have been bitten shortly before we got together but hadn't completely "turned" yet.  The result?  Vamp babies! Pretty exciting.

Anyway, tune in next time!
